How a project runs with Zircon

You get one person who answers the phone, knows your job, and is accountable for the result.

  1. Tell us about the project

Call or send the estimate form. We'll ask a few questions and set a time to come look.

  2. On-site visit and written estimate

We measure, talk through options, and send you an itemized price in writing. No pressure, no surprise add-ons.

  3. We schedule and manage the crews

We book vetted local trade partners, order materials, handle permits, and check the work as it goes. You deal with one person.

  4. Final walkthrough

We walk the finished job with you and take care of anything on the punch list before we call it done.

How we manage crews and quality

Why hire one general contractor instead of four trades?

A new roof often means new gutters. A fence often means moving sprinkler lines. A yard project can mean a patio, a retaining wall and a new irrigation zone. When each trade is hired separately, the homeowner ends up as the scheduler, the go-between and the inspector.

That’s the job we take on. We price the whole project in writing, line up registered and insured local crews in the right order, check their work as it goes, and handle the permits and inspections that apply. You make the decisions. We handle the chasing.

When a general contractor makes sense (and when it doesn’t)

  • One contract and one invoice, with the scope and price spelled out before work starts
  • Crews scheduled in the right order, so the sprinkler lines go in before the sod and the gutters go on after the roof
  • Someone checking the work who isn’t the person who did it
  • Straight answers when weather, materials or inspections change the schedule
  • Change orders in writing, so the price only changes when you agree to it

Built for Magic Valley weather

South-central Idaho is hard on houses. The City of Twin Falls designs homes for 115 mph winds and rates local weathering as severe. We plan every project around that.

Wind
Roofs installed with high-wind nailing and sealed starter courses. Fence posts set deep in concrete, with panels and gates chosen to handle gusts.
Hail
Impact-rated Class 4 shingles and metal roofing as options, and photo-documented inspections when a storm comes through.
Snow and freeze–thaw
Ice barrier at eaves and valleys, balanced attic ventilation, and footings and posts set below the local frost depth.
Sun, heat and dust
Low-E replacement windows that cut summer heat gain, tight installs that keep out dust, and UV-stable fence and trim materials.
Water
Landscapes designed for high-desert summers and alkaline soil, with drip zones, smart controllers and pressurized irrigation where your lot has it.

  • Hiring a Contractor

How to check a contractor’s registration in Idaho

Idaho registers general contractors through DOPL and licenses electricians, plumbers and HVAC contractors separately. Here's how to look anyone up in a few minutes and what else to ask for before you sign.

  • Hiring a Contractor

General contractor vs. hiring the trades yourself

Managing the trades yourself can save the general contractor's margin, but you take on the scheduling, the paperwork and the risk. Here's an honest look at when each approach makes sense in Idaho.

  • Landscaping

Water-wise landscaping for the Magic Valley

Twin Falls gets only about 10 to 11 inches of precipitation a year, and canal water is being cut back in dry years. Here's how to build a yard that looks good on less water.
